I'm Daniel Basaldua

Below is a showcasing of my qualifications, abilities, and projects.

About me

Personal Picture

I’m a highly passionate and dedicated iOS developer with 1.5 years of professional experience. I’m passionate about mobile development and always eager to learn the latest technologies.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, finishing with a 3.99 GPA. Before that, I earned an Associate’s degree in Computer Science from Estrella Mountain Community College, where I also received certificates in Programming and iOS App Development. My education has given me a strong foundation, but my learning doesn’t stop there—I’m always exploring ways to grow and improve as a developer.

When I’m not coding, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and finding new ways to stay inspired. I believe that balancing work and personal life is key to staying creative and motivated.

Feel free to explore my personal projects. If you have any questions or feedback, I’d love to hear from you.

Pokedex

Utilized a locally hosted PostgresSQL relational database in conjunction with Swift and SwiftUI to develop a Pokedex app. The application offers the functionality to retrieve stats, moves, search, and compare all original 151 Pokémon.

Chess Clock

I developed and designed a chess clock utilizing Swift and SwiftUI to impose time constraints during casual in-person chess matches. The app was created for personal use.

Exist

Exist is the first fully-fledged game I created using Swift, UIKit, and SpriteKit. The players' objective is to exist as long as possible and earn the highest score. Whenever a new high score is achieved it is saved onto the device until it is beaten or reset.
